Vodka Martini

My version of the classic martini except with vodka – a splash of olive juice and no vermouth- make this Vodka martini recipe of my favorite cocktails to have before, with or after dinner. Shaken not stirred – make mine painfully cold.

Difficulty: Beginner Preparation Time: 1min

Yields: 2 Servings Total Time: 2min

Ingredients

  • 6 oz of your favorite Vodka (I prefer Grey Goose, Stoli & Ketel 1 are good too)

  • 1 oz Olive Juice

  • 6 Large Olives with Pimentos

  • 2 Toothpicks

  • Ice

  • 2 Chilled Martini Glasses

  • 1 Metal Shaker with Lid

Procedure:

FOR THE VODKA MARTINI

All martinis should be served in a chilled martini glass. I prefer a metal shaker filled to the top with ice. I like to see little tiny ice chips when I pour my drink into my glass-this way I’m certain that my martini is “painfully cold”!

Fill the shaker to the top with ice.Pour in the vodka and the olive juice.Place top firmly on shaker and shake vigorously for 30-45 seconds.Skewer 3 olives on a toothpick and repeat. Place olives in the chilled glassed. Pour the chilled vodka over the olives and enjoy!
